You want to play the Java Edition of Minecraft, the original one, but don't have a PC? Or maybe you just want to play it on the go. If you have an Android phone, you're in the right place! Download and install the APK file from the bottom of this page, then open the app. Be sure to be connected to the internet, and wait about a minute with the app opened without doing anything. Then, click on Login with nickname and choose the name you want to use in Minecraft. Next time you open the app you can just use Login with user. Note: If when choosing your nickname the app crashes, it's because it didn't download all the needed files. Just wait a little longer on the main screen with your device connected to the internet and retry. Now, you should see a screen with a Play button and a version selector. Choose the Minecraft version you want to play on and simply click Play. You can also use the mod manager to add mods. Keep in mind that newer versions are more laggy and likely to crash, older versions are more playable and stable overall. First boot may take a while. Just wait and be sure you are connected to the Internet. After that, you have your Minecraft ready to play, offline or in servers. Note: Creating/loading a world may take years. Just wait, even if it seems stuck, it will eventually load. Also, performance should be better in small vanilla servers or superflat worlds than playing in normal worlds. Older Minecraft versions also have better performance. Youtube video: youtu.be/vTpGR6Ji3Eo |
